Lakeland Dairies is a farmer owned dairy processing co-operative with a heritage of excellence spanning over 100 years. They process up to 1 Billion litres of farm produced milk into a wide range of dairy foodservice products and dairy food ingredients which they export to over 70 countries across the globe.
With interests in food ingredients, food service, agri-business and milk products, their distribution serve home markets as well as exporting large volumes of dairy produce to the UK, Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and other international markets worldwide. The Group is also a leading provider of dairy produce to Ireland’s Kerrygold brand.
It was imperative that their new website represented them with a global aspect and positioned them as an international player in the dairy processing field.
We worked with the steering committee to develop a modern, engaging and user friendly website that is fully responsive, an element that is important as a lot of farmers would be accessing the site via mobile or tablet.
The website acts as a portal to all co-operative activities and has become the main marketing and informational tool for the co-operative and their various target markets. It has also become an important recruiting tool, utilising the Careers and Graduates section to attract top-tier candidates.
The website was integrated into the Expression Engine Content Management System.
